Job Summary:
As a Cat Scan Tech, you will perform specialized tasks involved in conducting CT scans, operating CT scanners, and related equipment. Your responsibilities will include positioning patients, assisting radiologists, and ensuring high-quality imaging. You will play a crucial role in patient care by handling complex imaging procedures and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct CT scans following radiation safety procedures.
- Position patients using immobilization and protective equipment.
- Assist radiologists with imaging procedures and interventional CT procedures.
- Start IVs and inject contrast media as needed.
- Evaluate and sequence CT images, ensuring technical quality.
- Schedule patients and manage clerical tasks related to imaging procedures.
- Document charges for procedures and supplies.
- Dispense oral contrast and operate power injections for contrast administration.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
