Requirements

  • Certification: US CPA designation or completion of CPA exam required; current CPA license preferred.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of US Tax experience at a CPA firm; minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; familiarity with tax software is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, client service orientation, teamwork, problem-solving, and independence.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid model within our Atlanta office.
  • Preferred Background: Experience from Big 4, mid-sized, or boutique firms encouraged.

About the Role

Join our respected public accounting and consulting firm as a Tax Senior Associate in Atlanta. This hybrid role offers flexibility with both in-office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Tax Review & Examinations: Conduct technical tax reviews and governmental examinations.
  • Tax Return Preparation: Prepare/review federal, state, and local tax returns for various entities.
  • Resource & Advisory Role: Offer guidance on complex tax issues to associates and team members.
  • Client Communication & Engagement: Engage with clients, attend meetings, and ensure timely, accurate tax return preparation.
  • Supervisory Duties: Supervise and mentor tax staff; maintain quality control.
  • Collaborative Support: Assist the Audit Department with large client engagements.
